- DAVID LYNCH

Au Revoir Simone came to life in the Fall of 2003 when Erika Forster (keyboards & vocals), Annie Hart (keyboards & vocals) and Heather D’Angelo (drum machines, keyboard & vocals) exchanged stories and ambitions, and discovered that they shared a common desire to form an all-keyboard band. Before too long, they started playing shows around NYC and Brooklyn and this dynamic trio elevated everyone who listened. Made principally using keyboards, drum machines and hand percussion, Au Revoir Simone’s sound is defined by their instrumentation. In their own words, they make “warm and organic electronic music with forthright female vocalists”.

On January 11th 2007, Barnes and Noble Union Square kicked off the first edition of Upstairs at the Square. The excitement was high as David Lynch was paired up with Au Revoir Simone in a unique interview setting. Lynch was there to discuss his book on meditation and creativity, Catching the Big Fish… and Au Revoir Simone played some songs from their album The Bird of Music. The ladies also provided dreamy background music for Lynch as he read from his book. Au Revoir Simone’s sounds and angelic voices won over the heart of David Lynch and they have been good friends ever since.

The band has given much support to the David Lynch Foundation and DLF.TV and we are proud to premiere their captivating new music video ‘Shadows’ from their album Still Light, Still Night.
