“When I meditate, all the outside pressure, all the things that are going on in my life just seem to go away for that twenty minutes. And then, when it’s over, I’m ready to deal with it again.”

In Harlem there is a place called the Doe Fund where homeless men go when they are ready to rebuild their lives. They have three meals a day, a roof over their heads and can learn the skills necessary to re-enter society. The David Lynch Foundation teamed up with the Doe Fund to offer these men Transcendental Meditation, to give help them a tool to deal with their stress and help keep them off the streets, out of prison, and off drugs for the rest of their lives.
