BitGravity Selected by David Lynch Foundation to Broadcast Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr Live via Webcast and Press Event

BURLINGAME, CA and New York City- March 31, 2009 –BitGravity, Inc., the innovative next- generation Content Delivery Network (CDN) and the David Lynch Foundation today announced the selection of BitGravity’s BG LiveTM highly-scalable flash-based video stream service for both live broadcasts. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will publicly endorse the David Lynch Foundation’s initiative to teach one million at-risk youth to meditate during a news conference at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, April 3, 12 noon (EDT). They will be joined by David Lynch, Russell Simmons, and a panel of leading doctors and educators. BitGravity will broadcast the news conference live on DavidLynchFoundation.org

Funds for the meditation initiative will be raised during the “Change Begins Within” benefit concert on Saturday, April 4, 7:30 p.m. (EDT) at Radio City. Headliner Paul McCartney will be joined by special guests by Ringo Starr, Sheryl Crow, Donovan, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Moby, Paul Horn, Bettye LaVette, Mike Love, and Jim James. BitGravity will also broadcast live the David Lynch Foundation Television exclusive 45-minute pre-concert webcast of the “Change Begins Within” benefit concert, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) on DLF.TV.

The pre-concert webcast will include a series of live interviews with David Lynch, concert performers and surprise guests—as well as video reports of the successes of David Lynch Foundation Transcendental Meditation-based school projects in the U.S. and around the world. The webcast will not include concert performances due to complications over music publishing rights.
